- WLPC: Dirt Pit scope has changed from 4 ponds to 2 ponds. County hearing after 150 comments have been reviewed. Comments thus far are more emotional then factual. The Committee would like to encourage people to rewrite comments referencing why the Dirt Pit plan does not meet the Zoning and Land Development Regulations. Read SC Mining Act paragraph 6.3.4. Send comments to DHEC.
Bolt Property / Tree Houses permits expired April 1. Charleston County has had a meeting and determined that The Bolts have violated several ordinances. Code Enforcement Officers from Zoning, Planning and Building Services investigated the property and found violations including use of the property for Short Term Rental, 2 container units without permits one of which was placed in OCRM critical line buffer, noncompliance of zoning permits and various building code violations such as renting 2 units prior to issuance Certification of Occupancy. Discussion involved the original misrepresentation of the plan for the property. Council will be awaiting news of the Zoning Hearing when The Bolts will ask for Planned Development to allow Short Term Rental. Such a precedence could open Wadmalaw Island up to spot zoning.

Committee for Road cleanup/Keep America Beautiful is in process of trying to establish Bears Bluff, Liberia and Maybank a Scenic Byway.
Road Cleanup Cherry Point Road Saturday April 20th.
Mayor to address Election Commission requirements for upcoming November Election.
OLD BUSINESS:
Road repair ongoing. Dirt has been placed near Joanies House. Plan to remove organics and then crown roads. Add dirt as needed. Mayor to schedule work to be done by Charleston Green, LLC.
Website is up and running. Mayor to add language. Events Calendar and FAQs. Brief History. DRB Reference Guide. UDO data, Minutes, Resolutions and Ordinances to be included on website. Additionally, provide contact information for Yacht Club.
Container Ordinance in progress. Draft to go back to Town Attorney to reword to allow Short Term use of containers and pod type structures.
Committees Ordinance to be developed. DRB 5 people, Planning 5 and reduce BZA to 3.
Budget under construction. Reviewing upcoming expenses. Once completed schedule special meeting to discuss.
NEW BUSINESS:
Town to join MASC who will ultimately carry the Town Liability Insurance.
Town to donate $100 to Soil and Water Conservation.
