Town should anticipate road deterioration with the upcoming threat of rain. CDH Tree service was unable to come out due to illness. Mayor hired Rhett Hanckel to drag/ box blade Rockland for the sum of $375 to be paid in cash. Mayor and Zach Nelson to write check to cash.
Second Reading County Election Certification
Ordinance NO: 07192021
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF AUTHORITY FOR CONDUCTING MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS TO THE BOARD OF ELECTIONS AND VOTER REGISTRATIONS OF CHARLESTON COUNTY. Now therefore be it ordained that the Governing Body of the Town of Rockville duly assembled that the authority for the conducting Elections be transferred to the Board of Elections and Voter Registration of Charleston County. The Town of Rockville will be subject to all laws of the State and the County with regard to certifying election results.
Council signed and dated to indicate approval. Mayor to submit to County.

Adam’s home will be sold in the near future
County has asked Town to adopt a new building ordinance. Mayor to obtain a copy. In general, it will address licensing and permit processes. Town will intend to adopt by January once Council has had a chance to review.
Henry Holst commented on chainsaw activity at a neighbor’s house. Property owner deemed a water oak it to be dead but was attempting to cut down without a permit. John Hope – code enforcement – has been contacted as a permit is required.
Clerk to email monthly Profit and Loss to town council.
Election to be held in November. Notice was run in August. Current council members are running with the exception of Zach Nelson and Allen Holmes. Judy Suggs and David Dunn have agreed to serve. Candidates will find the State Ethics website should be much easier to use as they have recently implemented changes.
