PRESENT: Mayor Council: Riley Bradham, Frank Thornhill, Tammy Bazzle, Whit Smith, Henry Holst and Town Clerk Colleen Key.

Meeting called to order at 7:00

No changes to the agenda. No time requested.
Mayor motions to approve prior Meeting Minutes. Seconded by Whit Smith. Unanimously approved.

- WILPC: Henry Holst- June 6 Community Center yard sale – $20 per table for anyone interested in selling items. Refreshments will be for sale. 9am-2pm.
Edith Frierson School will have 100-year celebration. Date to be determined.
155 fire alarms in April on the 3 Islands. 13 police department alarms, 1 bombing and 1 DUI. 173 patrols and 15 thefts.
New Business and Old Business:
Road update- Rockland in good shape. Sea Island Yacht Club was recently maintained by Travis Bee – charge was $800. Mayor to check with Mr. Bee regarding pothole on Sea Island Yacht Club Rd. repair and Grace Chapel maintenance.
Committee member training is still pending. Council to consider some way to incentivize having everyone complete.
Historic Preservation Ordinance has been approved by the County. Currently, the Town attorney, Matt Tillman is reviewing for potential concerns, particularly any details of the ordinance that could be considered a “takings” complication. Once fully vetted, newspaper ad will be published.
COVID Fund reporting has been completed. For future reporting, Town will need to create a SAM.gov account which requires initial Town incorporation paperwork among other historical documents. Once set up, Town COVID reporting will be able to be finalized.
Town audit is still underway.
Whit Smith comments that the pending tree work will be completed June 6th.
Henry Holst asks for his email address to updated on Town website.
Alise Smith has expressed interest in being the new Town Code Enforcement Officer. Mayor motions to accept her as a candidate. Seconded by Henry Holst. Unanimously approved. County will continue to serve in this role until Mrs. Smith is confirmed.
