New Business and Old Business:
Historic Preservation Ordinance has been approved by the County. Currently, Town seeks new attorney, as Matt Tillman no longer handles municipal law. Mayor has contacted Mac Miller, who was referred to the town by Ross Appel, as potential new counsel. Once fully vetted by Mr. Miller for issues such as “takings”, a newspaper ad will be published.
Whit Smith comments that tree work in ongoing. Mayor notes that a decent amount has already been removed.
In general, Town needs to confirm procedure for tree removal by residents, as a homeowner on Adams has a diseased grand tree, which has been confirmed by Arborist, that needs to be removed. Mayor is working with Sally at the County and the Arborist on this current issue, but this raises the question on the Town’s actual authority. Henry Holst mentions imminent threats scenarios, which the Mayor indicates that Town usually is able to make an immediate decision on. Mayor to follow up on the procedure for future tree issues.
Roads are in good shape due to maintenance by Travis Bee and a lack of rain.
Mayor Motions to adjourn at 7:27, seconded by Tammy Bazzle.
